This past year has been a big year in the box offices, and it is closing out with some of the best films yet. Fences
This stunning film is directed by and stars Denzel Washington. He plays a former Negro League player, now working as a waste collector who struggles to provide for his family while coming to terms with the events of his life. The film also stars Viola Davis, Stephen Henderson, Jovan Adepo, Russell Hornsby, Mykelti Williamson and Saniyya Sidney. The film is in theaters now, so check it out before the weekend comes, but certainly donât miss it!

Live By Night
Live By Night is an American Crime film that was written directed and co-produced by Ben Affleck. The film stars Affleck, Elle Fanning, Brendan Gleeson, Chris Messina, Sienna Miller, Zoe Saldana and Chris Cooper, while based on the 2012 novel of the same name by Dennis Lehane. The film finds Ben Affleck as the son of a Boston Police Captain who moves to Tampa, Florida and becomes a bootlegger. The film is set to release on Christmas day in a limited release, and is definitely something worth adding to your list of âmust seeâ films this weekend!

Sing
If you are looking for something the whole family will enjoy, Sing is it! This animated film features the voices of Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon, Seth MacFarlane, Scarlett Johansson, John C. Reilly, Tori Kelly, Taron Egerton and Nick Kroll, while also boasting more than 85 classic songs from famous artists. The film is something the kids will love, and something the adults will be rocking along with thanks to an incredible selection and catalog of music. This will have you singing all weekend long!

Why Him?
If unadulterated laughs are more your style, âWhy Him?â should be seen this coming weekend. The film was directed by John Hamburg and stars James Franco, Bryan Cranston, Zoey Deutch, Megan Mullally, Griffin Gluck and Keegan-Michael Key. The film finds Bryan Cranston at odds with his daughterâs new boyfriend. After being introduced to Stephanieâs wealthy and famous boyfriend, dad becomes a bit annoyed at his vulgar, gregarious, and blunt personality and begins to despise him. Things change, though. Do not miss out on this one, and get ready to laugh!

Hidden Figures
Hidden Figures is another great one worth checking out upon its Christmas Day release. The film was directed by Theodore Melfi from a screenplay co-written with Allison Schroeder and stars Taraji P. Henson, Octavia Spencer, Janelle MonĂĄe, Kevin Costner, Kirsten Dunst and Jim Parsons. The film tells the story of mathematician Katherine Johnson and her two colleagues, Dorothy Vaughan and Mary Jackson, who helped NASA catch up in the Space Race. Get inspired and see something important!
